Launched in 2008, the LED Luminaires and Retrofit Bulbs Licensing Program, which provides access to more than 220 inventions and more than 1,400 granted patents to companies that sell their own branded LED products, added its 500th licensee in earlier this year.
Through the Philips LED Luminaires and Retrofit Bulbs Licensing Program, licensees are given access to a wide range of basic LED control and system-level technologies available for use in their branded LED-based luminaires and retrofit bulbs for general illumination, architectural, entertainment and theatrical markets.
