EPtronics Announces Issuance of US Patent for Programmable LED Drivers

EPtronics Inc. is excited to announce that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued US Patent 9,544,951, covering the invention of a two-stage AC-to-DC LED driver with companion microcontroller that enables quick modification of output current by attaching a resistor or via USB programming interface and PC software, allowing further changes to performance variables such as dimming curve and temperature derating.

This proprietary technology is applicable to advanced programmable LED driver designs. EPtronics has exclusive rights to the patented technology and has already begun sales of its latest LP family of programmable LED drivers. The new LP25W, LP40W, LP55W, LP55WT5, and LP96W programmable driver series take advantage of the unique technology, with more models and packaging currently in development.
